I am proud of your on going effort's. I have seen with my own eye's the heart of those who responded to Haiti's cry while I was there in Haiti and at Adventise Hospital. My prayer's go out for the volunteer's, missionary workers, and every one who is walking in the change to come for Haiti. A foundation is being laid. With dedication, support, and most of all God, I know Haiti will once again stand. Be fervent in your love, passion, and prayer's for Haiti and this nation. ~Change Has Come~

My name is mike liles and my wife and I are missionaries who have been working in Mexico for the last 2 years, God is now calling us to go to Haiti to work in Disaster Relief and after reading this article in touched out hearts. Dr Marks is my doctor who with Gods help help me thru cancer which is now gone. He has become a good friend and hope to go with him on disaster Relief work soon. My wife started a book 6 years ago when I went thru cancer the first time and now is writing another chapter of this book since the cancer came back last may. She would like to use some excerts from your story if you would allow her too. We would love to send you a copy of this book when it gets published. May the Lord bless you.

Sarah,
What a beautiful letter! I know from the various letters how crazy it can be there, but thank God for all of your service and dedication. So great to hear that you are building relationships with the staff and helping the nurses to feel more valued and in the loop. That's so important. Thanks for taking the time to send out an update. God bless you and all who are serving so beautifully!

Thanks, Sarah, for updating us. It helps us understand what it's really like in Haiti right now. The absence of cleanliness certainly has many ramifications. Keep writing. It also helps those of us stateside to know how to pray for you and the others working at the hospital as well as your precious Haitian patients. God bless you all!

Thanks for the updates, David and Daniel Patton. It gives us a better and better picture of what you face. The pain some of these people have lived with since the earthquake must be tremendous. We can't imagine it. If you write all this up it seems as though LLU should give you all 2 weeks or more of emergency work!

I'm praying for all of you to get good sleep and rest.

May the Lord increase your wisdom and discernment as to the reasons for illnesses. Also, may He grant you the time to pause, listen, and sympathize with those who are hurting emotionally from the tremendous shock and losses they have faced. A few kind words of comfort can be as healing as some medical treatments for the soul and spirit. I'm sure they also appreciate your prayers.

Great to hear the team from LLU arrived safely. Sounds like it didn't take long to jump in and help! May the Lord direct each of you to the tasks He wants for you and give you all joy as you work together for His glory.
